Task force seizes 13 guns, 133 lbs in marijuana and cocaine in Bedford County

BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — The Bedford County Sheriff’s Office says 13 guns and several illegal drugs were seized during a search warrant at two locations on May 4.

Deputies say the James River Regional Drug Task served the warrants at two illegal drug “pop-up” locations in Bedford County. A drug pop-up is a temporary table or booth set up to sell illegal drugs, guns, and other illicit items.

One warrant was served at a pop-up shop in the 2800 block of Chestnut Fork Road. During the search, deputies seized the following:

  • Two Firearms

  • 77.5 lbs. of marijuana (Estimated street value of $316,260)

  • 101 lbs. of THC wax (Estimated street value of $1.8 million)

  • 8.6 lbs. of psilocybin mushrooms (Estimated street value of $156,000)

  • 1.5 pounds of THC oil (Estimated street value of $28,741)

  • 35 grams of cocaine (Estimated street value of $3,640)

Three arrested following Alleghany County drug bust

The second warrant was served at another pop-up location in the 1200 block of Rock Cliff Road.

  • 11 Firearms

  • 56.3 lbs. of marijuana (Estimated street value of $230,184)

  • 39.8 lbs. of THC wax (Estimated street value of $741,075)

The Sheriff’s Office says several edible and vapes containing THC were also discovered at both locations.

Charges are pending against several people in consultation with the Bedford County Commonwealth’s Attorney.
