Tanganyika Wildlife Park opens for the season

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Tanganyika Wildlife Park opened for the season, and the weather was nice enough for people to come out.

Saturday featured ambassador animals to greet people in the park. There were llamas, penguins and owls.

Kansas museum is one of the most unique in the world

Matt Fouts, Tanganyika’s director, said the wildlife park offers a one-of-a-kind experience and is easy to access over spring break.

“It is completely unique,” Fouts said. “Not only all the feeding stations we offer but the behind-the-scenes experiences, the meet and greets. It’s the only place in the world you can really do all these things in one place.”

Right now, the park is featuring baby lions and giraffes as well as Latke, the baby hippopotamus.
