You don't expect to hear about feminine hygiene products when speakers discuss Benghazi during the Republican National Convention

But that's just what happened during the 20-minute speech given by U.S. Marine Corps veterans Mark Geist and John Tiegen, in which they gave a highly detailed, step-by-step account of their experience during the 2012 terrorist attack on the American embassy in Benghazi.

While Tiegen described a fellow combatant putting gauze in his ear, the member of the Benghazi Annex Security Team couldn't help but make the comparison to a tampon.

It's been a whirlwind first day at the RNC. Between the chaos on the floor from the #NeverTrump movement, the oddly-labeled elevators and polar bears, it certainly keeps surprising.
