At Tampa’s Florida Aquarium, no more buying tickets at doors

Starting March 9, guests won’t be able to walk up to the Florida Aquarium and buy tickets to enter.

As part of a new ticketing process, both guests and aquarium members will need to purchase tickets in advance and make a reservation to enter during a specific timeframe. Both can be done on the aquarium’s website, flaquarium.org.

In a press release, the aquarium said the changes “reflect the aquarium’s adaptation and success in managing guest experiences with a process that was implemented during pandemic and is used by other attractions across the region and country.”

In addition to reserving your tickets ahead of time, you can also get online advanced parking reservations at nearby parking garages, as well as pre-paid valet parking at the entrance.

The Florida Aquarium is extending its hours March 10-17, when most Tampa Bay kids are out of school for spring break, and will close at 6 p.m. instead of 5 that week.
