Thanksgiving is around the corner. While some enthusiastic home cooks will toil away in the kitchen for days to make the meal from scratch, others are making plans to pick up a Turkey Day spread, hot and ready to serve.

Many restaurants and caterers in the Fayetteville area offer Thanksgiving menus and specials for Nov. 24 so you can sit and watch the parade, cheer for your favorite football team and enjoy time with friends and family.

Carlie C's IGA

Carlie C’s IGA is known to sell out of its popular Thanksgiving dinners. The independent grocer offers three different meals: an 8-to-10 pound roasted turkey or 7-to-8-pound ham with a side of stuffing and gravy for $47; all that, plus green beans, candied yams and a dozen dinner rolls for $65; or all of the sides with both turkey and ham for $80. Cracker Barrel offers two sizes of heat-and-serve turkey Thanksgiving dinners for pickup. For four to six people, meals start at $99 and for eight to 10 people, meals start at $149. Dab's Soul Food Cafe

Dab's Soul Food Cafe offers a wide variety of holiday dishes. Mains like turkey wings, roast turkey, meatloaf and pork chops start at $40 per half-pan. Sides like macaroni and cheese, collard greens, purple hull peas, buttered corn and mashed potatoes start at $30 per half-pan. Sweet potato, pumpkin and chocolate pies start at $15. Beginning Nov. 1, customers can order hot or cooled fried turkey at $18 per pound, stuffing at $26 per pan, and gravy and cranberry sauce at $4 per pint.
