Switzerland's Lara Gut wins Lake Louise World Cup super-G, Vonn fifth

LAKE LOUISE, Alta. - Lara Gut of Switzerland won the women's super-G on Sunday at the World Cup in Lake Louise, Alta.

Gut posted a winning time of one minute 22.86 seconds at the Alberta resort.

Tina Weirather of Liechtenstein was second in 1:22.89 and Anna Fenninger of Austria was third in 1:23.19.

U.S. ski star Lindsey Vonn finished fifth. Marie-Michele Gagnon of Lac-Etchimen, Que., was 10th.

Germany's Maria Hoefl-Riesch was 19th in super-G after winning both downhills.

The next stop on the women's World Cup circuit is St. Moritz, Switzerland, for a super-G race Saturday and a giant slalom Sunday.
