Swedish, German fighter jets intercept Russian Il-20 reconnaissance aircraft
The Swedish Air Force, together with German fighter jets, intercepted a Russian Il-20 reconnaissance aircraft near the Swedish coast on April 9, the Swedish Air Force reported on Twitter.
The Russian Il-20 flew into the so-called flight information region southeast of Blekinge, said the Swedish Air Force's incident investigation team.

Visual identification of the enemy was carried out jointly with two German Eurofighter jets that were on NATO alert.
Earlier, the German Air Force scrambled fighter jets on April 6 to intercept a Russian Il-20 over the Baltic Sea, which was flying without a transponder. The day before, French Mirage 2000-5 jets intercepted two Russian Su-30M fighters and an An-72 transport plane over the Baltic Sea.
