Suspects at large after thousands worth of merchandise stolen from Sephora in Novato
(KRON) — Several thousands of merchandise was stolen from a Sephora store on Wednesday in Novato, the Novato Police Department said. Around 11:45 a.m., four female suspects with stolen merchandise were reported to be running out of the store and into a silver Nissan sedan.
The Nissan was traveling southbound on Highway 101 as police tried to stop the vehicle. However, the driver made “abrupt reckless movements” and was able to escape.
The suspect vehicle was last seen going at high speed on southbound Highway 101. NPD did not provide any descriptions for any of the suspects. The department continues its investigation of the theft.

Novato police reported another retail theft that occurred the prior day — also at Vintage Oaks Shopping Center. The law enforcement agency said two people, a thief and a getaway driver, were arrested in connection to a theft at Target on Tuesday, May 21.
The suspects were identified as 58-year-old San Pablo resident Tony Adger and 46-year-old San Francisco resident De Shauna Jones.
Jones was said to be the shoplifter, and Adger was the getaway driver, NPD said. Around 3 p.m., the theft had occurred, and the suspect entered a Mercedes driven by the getaway driver. The vehicle fled toward a nearby Taco Bell on Rowland Boulevard and was eventually pulled over in a traffic stop in the parking lot.

An unknown amount of merchandise was stolen, but surveillance shows that stolen items were in Jones’ possession, according to NPD. Jones, who had an outstanding warrant for her arrest from theft charges in Campbell County, was booked into Marin County Jail for shoplifting and possession of brass knuckles.
Adger was booked into Marin County Jail for resisting arrest and shoplifting.
