PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — The Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) identified three suspects who were arrested in connection with an armed robbery in District Heights that led to an officer shooting one of the suspects.

Officers on Thursday were surveilling a carjacked car in the 5700 block of Silver Hill Rd. at about 3:05 p.m. The car was carjacked at gunpoint the day before on Brooks Drive in District Heights.

Police said the suspects parked the stolen car outside of a Game Stop on Silver Hill Road. Two of them went into the store while wearing masks and tried to rob it at gunpoint. The officers followed, however, and told them to drop their weapons.

The suspects ran out of a back door, around the building and into the parking lot.

Officers said they saw the suspects running with firearms out.

Brown ran toward one detective who shot him in the lower body. The officer provided him with emergency aid and responders took him to a hospital.

Bishop was arrested without incident.

Both of their guns were found in the Game Stop parking lot.
