(FOX40.COM) — The mystery of a stolen forklift from the Canyon Endurance Race came to a bizarre conclusion on Sunday night after a short foot chase, according to the Auburn Police Department.

The forklift was reported stolen at Lincoln Way and High Street in central downtown Auburn.

Officers in the area spotted the forklift traveling down the main thoroughfare with one man allegedly at the controls drinking a bottle of wine and another man along for the ride.
