A 57-year-old driver was arrested on suspicion of being intoxicated when he collided and injured a man in Apple Valley.

San Bernardino County Sheriff’s officials identified the suspected DUI driver as Anthony Tyrone Davis, of Apple Valley.

On Saturday night, deputies were dispatched to a traffic collision involving a pedestrian in the 14100 block of Pawnee Road.

At the scene, deputies found an injured 24-year-old Pomona man. The man was rushed to Providence St. Mary’s Medical Center for treatment, police reported. As of Wednesday, there was no updated on the man's condition.

Davis was suspected of being under the influence and was arrested. He was booked into the High Desert Detention Center with a bail of more than $350,000, sheriff’s booking records show.

On Tuesday, the Victorville District Attorney’s Office filed suspected felony charges against Davis, which included driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage causing injury, driving with at .08% blood alcohol content causing injury, and misdemeanor driving when privilege suspended or revoked for driving under the influence conviction.
