Suspect wanted in alleged attack at Lakewood RTD station

DENVER (KDVR) — Lakewood police want to identify a person who allegedly attempted to kidnap or harass a victim at an RTD station.

On Friday, the Lakewood Police Department issued a bulletin about the incident.

According to police, on April 13 at 7:06 p.m., a male suspect attempted to grab a victim near the Federal Center RTD Station. Lakewood police said the victim, who identifies as nonbinary, was sitting down making a phone call when they were grabbed from behind.

Lakewood police said it appeared the suspect was attempting to “possibly kidnap or harass the victim.” However, good Samaritans stepped in before anything further happened.

Now, police want to identify the suspect. They have released photos of the suspect who is described as:

  • White, male

  • Brown hair

  • Tall

  • Large build

  • Wearing thick-rimmed glasses

  • Distinct mole on right cheek

  • Two moles below left ear

At the time of the alleged attack, the suspect was described as wearing a black/white/gray leopard button-up shirt, blue jeans with a drawstring, a blue blazer, brown boots and earrings in both ears.
