Suspect in Huntsville shooting on Tuesday arrested for attempted murder

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) charged a man with attempted murder after a Tuesday shooting.

The shooting happened on Hillandale Road around 9 p.m. on April 16. It was initially reported as an assault. A man was taken to Huntsville Hospital, where he currently remains in critical care.

The suspect, 38-year-old Jametric Bernard Collier, was arrested on April 17 in the area of Meridian Street, according to HPD.

He is currently being held at the Madison County Jail without bond.
