Suspect arrested in West El Paso stabbing, victim taken to hospital

A person was arrested Thursday morning in connection with a West El Paso stabbing, authorities said.

El Paso Police Department officers responded to a report of a stabbing about 9:28 a.m. Thursday, May 16, in the 6100 block of Mesa Street near Shadow Mountain Drive, police officials said.

One person was taken into custody in connection with the stabbing. The suspect's name has not been released.

The stabbing victim, whose name has also not been released, was taken to a hospital for treatment. No information was released on his condition.
