Susanna Reid admits she ‘misses’ Piers Morgan – before mocking her Good Morning Britain co-star
Susanna Reid has admitted she is missing working with Piers Morgan on Good Morning Britain.
The TV duo are currently enjoying an Easter break – but Reid said she is missing seeing him on a daily basis.
Speaking on Lorraine, where she was promoting her new ITV show Save Money: Good Food, she said: “Can I admit that I slightly miss him?
“Yesterday I said ‘I’m coming in to talk about the show’ and I got a tweet saying: ‘I thought you were on a caravan holiday with Piers Morgan?’
“I was like, ‘is it not enough that I have to work with him?’”
Lorraine Kelly seemed keen on the idea, saying: “Can you imagine being in a caravan with Piers! The three of us should do that. Go on a caravan holiday.
“See who cracks first? See who hits the gin bottle first!”
One viewer said they should turn the holiday into a TV show, tweeting: “Susanna Reid and piers Morgan doing caravan holidays in UK brilliant TV show idea.”
But despite missing her opinionated co-star, Reid joked that she was happy to be able to speak without interruption.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain she said: “I love being able to speak. Isn’t it nice. It’s really weird.
“Where’s that voice that normally happens over the top?”
Save Money: Good Food is on ITV tonight at 8pm.
