Susan Shaw admits she may need to retire early
29 Aug - Veteran actress Susan Shaw may need to say an early goodbye to showbiz due to her health problems.
As reported on On CC News, the actress, who was hospitalised for aortic dissection earlier last week, appeared at an event recently and revealed that she was advised by her doctor not to work again.
"The doctor told me I should not work again in this lifetime. I am forced to retire. I had received a lot of movie offers earlier, but now I can't do them," she said.
She added, "My daughter also told me to retire. But I'm quite reluctant. Now I am always scared that I would be done just like that. So, I am saying goodbye in advance."
Susan admitted that it would be hard for her to slow down, since she has always been the type to enjoy her social life.
"Now I have to do everything slowly. I talk, think, and walk slowly. I'm better off dead. But I was lucky to survive," she added.
