Susan Olsen on 'The Brady Bunch': ‘It’s Like Having a Hunchback’
It was a Brady Bunch reunion of sorts when Barry Williams, Christopher Knight, Mike Lookinland, and Susan Olsen — otherwise known as Greg, Peter, Bobby, and Cindy Brady — stopped by Today. Among other things, the four talked about what it’s like growing older as a Brady kid, with Olsen using quite a strange analogy to describe it.
“It’s like having a hunchback,” Olsen said. “You can’t disguise it, so you might as well dress it up.”
Williams and Knight talked about the fact that although they’re much older, obviously, than they were on the show, 62 and 59 respectively, they are still referred to as kids.
“Everyone always refers to us as kids. Doesn’t matter how we mature, we’re still the kids,” Williams said.
They spoke about how they tried to distance themselves from the show when they were younger but eventually realized that there just wasn’t any getting away from it, even after all this time.
“Nearly 50 years and it hasn’t been off the air. So the fact is, there’s no running from it. I think we all spent a moment trying to run from it and realized it was always gonna be there,” Williams said.
