Supergirl sneak peek: The Legion of Super-Heroes face off with Reign
Following her knock-down, drag-out battle with Reign (Odette Annable), the Girl of Steel (Melissa Benoist) will need all the help she can get to take down the Worldkiller when Supergirl returns from its winter hiatus on Monday. Enter the Legion of Super-Heroes.
“The mid-season premiere will be one of the most epic episodes of our series — The Legion of Super-Heroes will fight alongside Supergirl to battle Reign,” executive producers Jessica Queller and Robert Rovner tell EW.
The midseason premiere will also introduce another member of the Legion, as Brainiac-5 (Jesse Rath) joins the fight to help bring Kara out of a dream-like state as she recovers from her injuries suffered at the hands of Reign. “We’re excited to introduce the Legion, and for the audience to see Mon-El suit up for the first time! We’ll also learn more about what Mon-El has been up to in the future,” the Supergirl bosses say. “Brainiac-5 is an amazing iconic character and we’re excited to introduce him to our world. He’s smart and extremely funny, and adds a great dynamic to the show.”
