Super Tuesday voting 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. today, local state and national posts on ballot

Mar. 5—Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. today for Texans to decide several local, state and national party nominees.

In Parker and Palo Pinto counties, most offices will be decided in today's Republican contests.

Locally, those include races for sheriff, county commissioners, county and district attorneys and the constables who keep local courts running smoothly.

Runoffs will take place on May 28 if needed. Voters in runoffs must have either voted in that party's primary or not voted today.

Voters are required to bring one of seven photo identifications to polls. Elections administrators also remind voters to turn off cell phones or leave them outside a 100-foot perimeter from polls.

Thanks to countywide voting in force in both counties, any registered voter may cast a ballot at any poll in their home county.
