Elmira, N.Y. (WETM) – Sunshine will be with us for the morning before clouds increase with snow before midnight. Showers and snow will continue into the start of the weekend. More details below:

TONIGHT:

Cold and gusty conditions will continue into the overnight. Temperatures will fall to the mid to upper teens with a breeze from the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.

FRIDAY:

There will be a good amount of sunshine for Friday morning. Clouds move in for the afternoon and into the evening. Chances for snow moves in late in the day with showers in the mix as well. It will be warmer with highs in the upper thirties to near forty with a breeze from the southwest at 5 to 10 mph.

WEEKEND:

Showers and snow will continue into Saturday morning and afternoon. Skies will be mainly cloudy and it will be a touch warmer with highs near forty. We dry out late Saturday and into Sunday to round out the weekend. Skies will be mostly sunny with highs in the lower to mid forties.

NEXT WEEK:

Mostly sunny skies will persist into Monday to start off the new work week. It will be much warmer out with highs in the mid to upper fifties. Clouds will be on the increase on Tuesday as we continue into the week. Skies will be mostly cloudy with highs still in the mid to upper fifties.
