Pedestrian hit by vehicle in Sunland Park dies

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A man has died after he was struck by a pickup truck in Sunland Park late Monday night, March 11, according to the Sunland Park Fire Department and New Mexico State Police (NMSP).

The crash happened along Racetrack Drive between McNutt Road and Futurity Drive. The initial call came in at around 9:15 p.m.

NMSP says the man was 57-years-old and was struck by a 2007 Ford pickup truck.

“The man will not be identified until his family has been properly notified,” NMSP said.

NMSP says a 45-year-old man was driving the pickup and had an adult passenger. Neither of them were injured.

The investigation is still active and no charges have been filed at this time, according to NMSP.

Sunland Park Fire says New Mexico State Police and Sunland Park Police are investigating the incident.
