Sunflower loves lounging outside and car rides

Meet Sunflower! She's 9 years old and weighs 37 pounds. Sunflower is a gentle and sweet lady who may be nearing retirement age but most definitely doesn't want to hear you say she's over-the-hill. This ageless beauty still enjoys her (short) walks and (long) snoozes in the sunshine. And she most definitely still wants to be a part of your everyday life - even if that just means enjoying the view from her comfy bed.

Lovely Sunflower enjoys time outside.
Lovely Sunflower enjoys time outside.

In her foster home, Sunflower enjoyed car rides and spending time outdoors. She did well with strangers and children, and she's ok with other dogs as long as they let her be. She may not do well around small animals, though, as she seems to have a high prey drive. If you have another dog in your home, we require the dogs to meet at the shelter just to be sure it's a good fit for both of them.

If you plan to bring in your dog  for a meet and greet with Sunflower, please call for appointment, 615-790-5590.  If you would enjoy relaxed companionship with a dog who lives on the easy side of life, please come meet Sunflower and see that new friendships can develop at any age!  For more info or to submit an adoption application, please see www.adoptwcac.org. Williamson County Animal Center is at 1006 Grigsby Hayes Court in Franklin.
