Sunday night shooting claims the life of 64-year-old Montgomery woman

Montgomery police have launched a homicide investigation after a 64-year-old woman was shot to death Sunday night.

At about 7:02 p.m., police and fire medics were called to the 4200 block of Cobbington Road, said Capt. Saba Coleman, spokeswomen for the Montgomery Police Department. They found Gloria Crews, 64, of Montgomery, who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead on the scene, Coleman said.

The circumstances of the case remain under investigation, and no other information was immediately released. Police ask people with knowledge of the case to call CrimeStoppers at 334-215-STOP, the Secret Witness Line at 334-625-4000, or MPD at 334-625-2831.
