Sunday Conversation: Brig. Gen. Monte Rone talks about upcoming Infantry Week activities, including those in downtown Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Brig. Gen. Monte Rone is the Chief of Infantry and the commandant of the U.S. Army Infantry School at Fort Moore.

The month the Army will celebrate its finest Infantry soldiers with Infantry Week.

This will include the 40th annual Best Ranger competition and Lacerda Cup Combatives championship. On Saturday, April 13, pieces of both of those events will move off post to the South Commons and downtown Columbus.

Infantry Week also will host a best sniper and best mortar competition on post.
