Summit High School celebrates its Class of 2024 Mountain Lions

Summit High School honored its 74 graduates from the Class of 2024 during the commencement ceremony on Wednesday evening at Palm Desert High School.

Eugene Villanueva led the Pledge of Allegiance, and LeVanna Mora performed the national anthem, which she had also sung earlier at Horizon's graduation. Nataly Beltran-Lupian delivered the senior address.

"Throughout the process of me getting transferred to Summit, I was told many things by my relatives and friends about its reputation. I was teased about going to what they called 'Summit,' a school filled with rebels and people that didn't want to get educated with teachers that didn't care either," Beltran-Lupian said. "This was one thing that was proven wrong ... I grew a lot more than I've ever imagined."
