Showers arrive later this evening and overnight

EVENING: Cloudy and warm. Showers west of Harrisburg. Temps near 80.

TONIGHT: Cloudy, few showers and mild. Low 60.

WEDNESDAY: Becoming mostly sunny and warm. High 80.

Monday and Tuesday both reached the upper 80s which is nearly 20 degrees warmer than average! Clouds are now rolling into the are with a gusty southerly breeze ahead of a line of showers. These showers will eventually move through the area overnight. Some places may receive a quarter inch of rain, while other just see enough to settle the dust.

The rest of the week stays warm, just not quite as warm. Temperatures on Wednesday and Thursday will be in the lower 80s and both days should feature plenty of sunshine and pleasant conditions. Friday will bring increasing clouds ahead of a front that will drape itself across the area by the weekend. What does that mean? Well, the front for the weekend may stall across Pennsylvania for Saturday and be stubborn to clear Sunday. At this time, Saturday could bring scattered showers with a drizzly start on Sunday. Stay tuned for more updates about the weekend. We’ll be watching the timing of the rain and the amounts too.
