The college announced today it had placed Kegler on administrative leave with pay. No reason was given for this move.

The college’s board of trustees and the administrative team will name the interim president on Thursday, May 23, in a special meeting.

After the special meeting, the board will adjourn to executive session to discuss non-elected personnel. Once an interim is selected, an announcement will be made to the public.

In January, Dr. Kegler said the college was facing roughly one-million-dollar deficit and that his administration was going to have to make tough decisions on how to move forward.

Kegler has been president of FSCC for less than a year. Before coming to FSCC he served as Vice President for Student Life at Pittsburg State University.

We reached out to Dr. Kegler for comment, but have not yet heard back.
