Developers want to add 81 homes to a subdivision around the corner from Grovetown High School.

Coel Development Co. of Evans and Bill Beazley Homes propose to construct Section 7 of the Kelarie subdivision off Baker Place Road near its intersection with William Few Parkway.

Construction on the subdivision began about 2016. Each home built in the neighborhood so far is about a mile from Baker Place Elementary, Columbia Middle and Grovetown High schools.

According to the final plat map seeking Columbia County approval, plans call for the completion of a street, Dublin Loop, which encircles the proposed new lots. The area will include sidewalks and almost 3 acres of open greenspace.

The proposed addition’s lot sizes are a minimum of 7,897 square feet and average 10,975 square feet.

The Columbia County Planning Commission is scheduled to consider Kelarie’s Section 7 at its next meeting on Dec. 21.
