How high school students used Post-it notes to help morale after two suicides

Following the suicides of two male students last week, classmates at Brunswick High School near Cleveland took steps to ensure that each student hear something positive about themselves.

A photo of a collection of blue lockers, each adorned with a Post-it note with a simple statement of positivity, was uploaded to Reddit.

The anonymous compliments say things like, "You are loved," "You are important," "You matter," and "I care."

Superintendent Michael Mayell told Fox 8 Cleveland, “They are sending a message to each other, letting kids know that suicide is not the option and should never be the option."

The two suicides are not believed to have been related, Cleveland.com reports. Initially there was speculation that bullying may have played a role in the deaths. However, administrators told Cleveland.com that there is no evidence of bullying.
