School officials say they entered into Hold Protocols as the student was removed from the building by the school resource officer Friday afternoon. Classes resumed after the campus was deemed safe.

“We commend all individuals who made the staff aware of this situation. As is always stated, we ask that if you see or hear something, say something. That is exactly what occurred today,” the post reads.

York County Sheriff’s deputies say the student is younger than 18 and did not make threats to anyone on campus.
