Structure goes up in smoke on 37th Street

SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — Black smoke filled the overcast skies of San Angelo during the afternoon hours of May 16 after a structure fire ignited at a property on East 37th Street.

Residents living in the area claimed that the structure was an abandoned trailer house. A reporter at the scene observed that, although there was a field surrounding the structure, rainfall that soaked the ground throughout the day helped prevent it from catching on fire as well.

A Concho Valley Homepage staff member attempted to contact first responders at the scene but was unable to receive official statements while the investigation was underway.
