Stronger winds keep temperatures cooler to end the week

Clouds have cleared overnight on the backside of a cold front and will allow for some morning sunshine. Temperatures though have fallen from the mid 50s yesterday down into the mid and upper 30s to begin this Friday. With strong west winds gusting 30-40mph by the afternoon and clouds on the increase, temperatures are going to struggle to reach 50 degrees today.

Areas that don’t cloud over as much have the best chance to see the 50s, but most will hit the upper 40s. With those strong winds, feel like temperatures will sit between 5-10 degrees below the air temperature, so dress accordingly today. Tonight, partly cloudy skies and lows return to around the freezing mark.

Tomorrow will feature a mix of sun and clouds and I anticipate highs sitting in the upper 40s to around 50 once again as winds shift slightly to out of the northwest direction. We will then see late day abundant sunshine before clear skies settle in for Saturday night and temperatures fall back to around freezing.
