Strong storms possible Thursday night into early Friday

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Strong storms are expected in Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky Thursday night through Friday morning.

A Marginal Risk (1/5) covers all of our region, and a Slight Risk (2/5) covers parts of Carroll, Henry, Stewart counties in western Middle Tennessee, and Trigg County in western Southern Kentucky.

The main threats will be damaging winds and heavy rain. There is a low risk for hail. The tornado threat, although low, is not zero.

No thunderstorms are expected during the day today. A very warm day with highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s. Nashville’s record high temperature is 83 on March 14, 2012. After 8 PM, storms will start to fire Thursday evening and become widespread overnight. They do clear out of our area by dawn.
