Strike UAVs attack oil refinery in Russia's Pskov Oblast

UAVs attacked Pskovnefteprodukt oil depot in Velikiye Luki, Pskov Oblast of Russia, reported Russian Telegram channel Astra, citing local news outlets on April 22.

Russians claim that there were no casualties or damage to oil depot itself. Both drones were allegedly shot down.

It is noted that local authorities did not comment on attack.

Attacks on Russian refineries

Since the end of January, Ukraine has been regularly attacking oil refineries in Russia with long-range drones. In total, Security Service carried out at least 13 successful attacks on Russian refineries, according to SBU head Vasyl Malyuk.

As a result, oil production and refining in Russia decreased by 12%. He said that revenues from export of oil products account for a third of the Russian budget and "lion's share" of military budget.

  • Ryazan refinery, March 13

  • Kaluga refinery, March 15

  • Syzran refinery, March 16

  • Kuibyshev refinery, March 16

  • Slavyansk refinery, March 17

  • Novokuibyshevsk refinery, March 23

  • TANECO refinery, April 2.

According to CEO of Gunvor Group Ltd. Torbjorn Thornqvist, Russia lost about 600.000 barrels of daily refining capacity as a result of Ukrainian-made drones strikes.
