Strictly Come Dancing's Janette Manrara has teased an "exciting" new project on Instagram.

The star took to the social media site yesterday (May 20) to post a brief clip of her transformation into a glammed look as she flicked a book, revealing she had just done "an exciting shoot".

"Cannot wait to share it for you all to see!" the dancer added in the caption. "Thanks @summerdyason for giving me this natural look for it too! There’s a clue in the video…. Can you guess what the shoot could have been for?"

Janette teased a further clue in her Instagram Stories as she shared a video of herself enjoying a drink with a team from publishers HarperCollins, suggesting it's all to do with her upcoming book Tiny Dancer, Big World.

"So, had a very exciting day today. Say hello to the HarperCollins team… Cheers!" she said before enjoying a sip of champagne.

In a follow-up post later on, Janette was back home with baby Lyra in a sweet clip, telling her followers: "So, had a great shoot today, came home, makeup off, cuddles at the ready!

"It's what you call balance. I mean look at my hair – I looked so beautiful in the shoot, and now…"

Janette's book is due to be released on September 12, and is described as "a delightful blend of advice, inspirational stories and life lessons from her time on stage and screen".

"Each chapter offers a tenet of wisdom alongside techniques of how to implement it, complete with actionable goals," the synopsis adds. "The result is a highly readable, applicable, motivational narrative to inspire readers to live their best life."

It will also see the star share "her own poignant stories, from her childhood in a large Cuban immigrant family in Florida and her decision to pursue a career in dance to her big break on So You Think You Can Dance and finally, Strictly Coming Dancing".

"Full of magic and glitter and joy, Tiny Dancer, BIG World is a fun and practical resource for learning to embrace self-love and ambition and be your best self in every aspect of your life," it adds.

Strictly Come Dancing will return later this year on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
