Street rods bringing their colours to Louisville for annual car gathering next month

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The National Street Rod Association's annual gathering is returning to Louisville in a couple of weeks, bringing with it an expected 10,000 or more vintage cars for display.

The Louisville Convention and Visitors Bureau says more than 30,000 people are expected to take part as the brightly colored cars make their way through the city. Louisville has hosted the group for 18 years.

The activities run Aug. 2 through 5 at the Kentucky Exposition Center and are open to the public. Admission is $14 for those 13 and older, $5 for ages 6 to 12 and free for 5 and under with an adult.

Besides the display of cars, events include a trade show, arts and crafts fair, vintage auto parts swap meet and entertainment.
