Stranger on street argues with driver, shoots him in head, Oregon cops say

A stranger got into an argument with a driver and shot him in the head in Oregon, deputies said.

The shooting happened at about 11:45 p.m. May 9 in Troutdale, the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office said in a May 21 news release.

A man was driving with a passenger in the area of SW 257th Drive and SW 26th Street, deputies said. The two got into a fight with a stranger who was walking along 257th Drive, deputies said.

The stranger pulled out a gun and fired it multiple times at the vehicle, hitting the driver in the head “at least one time,” deputies said.

Deputies said the passenger helped the driver get to a hospital where he was reported being critically injured.

Now investigators are asking the public for help with the shooting.

Authorities said there were at least two people walking in the area during the shooting, and they may have seen what happened.
