Stoughton resident wins big through MA State Lottery promotion. Here's how much he won.

STOUGHTON — Lucky Stoughton resident Stephen Foley won $100,000 off a free lottery ticket he received as part of a recent Massachusetts State Lottery promotion, the Lottery announced on Thursday.

The promotion, which ended on May 12, gave players who spent $4 or more on any draw or monitor game the chance to win a free $1 "Quic Pic" ticket for the next Mass Cash, The Numbers Game or Keno drawing, according to the Lottery.

A Quic Pic ticket is a ticket that randomly generates numbers for the player.

Foley said he received his free promo ticket after purchasing a Keno ticket at the Seasons Corner Market in Stoughton, according to reporting by Boston 25 News.

He won the $100,000 prize on the May 10 Mass Cash drawing.
