Storytime Village gets Jackson Elementary School Little Free Library ahead of summer

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Jackson Elementary School had a big celebration with a free book for every student.

The school welcomed a Little Free Library on Tuesday.

It was donated by Storytime Village.

By installing the library before the summer, the group hopes to spark an excitement of reading for the upcoming months.

Families can take a book or leave one. The non-profit works to keep it stocked.

“We go to all of our little free libraries and make sure they have plenty of books so we can keep that process of getting books out to the community a priority,” said Storytime Village Founder Dr. Prisca Barnes.

The students helped decorate the library box with happy faces.
