Stormy end to the work week; warmer for the weekend

ST. LOUIS — Rain and storms are back in our forecast. Scattered showers and non-severe storms around Thursday morning. Behind the morning rain, we could see isolated strong to severe storms this afternoon and early evening, bringing heavy rain, strong wind gusts, and hail. Highs Thursday in the low to mid 70s.

Another wave of scattered showers and storms will move through the region south of I-70 in the early hours of Friday, with a steadier, heavier rain over southern Missouri and Illinois.  Spottier showers and storms will then linger through the day. Wake up temperatures tomorrow will be in the low 60s and highs in the mid 70s.

The weekend looks warmer, with highs in the low to mid 80s, and just a slight chance of an afternoon pop shower or storm Saturday.
