Get used to the F bomb

"Profanity mainstreamed in U.S. politics" and the radical left blames former President Donald Trump for using coarse language during his term in the White House.

How soon we forgot that when President Barack Obama was signing the Affordable Care Act, then Vice President Joe Biden whispered in Obama’s ear that this was a “big (F-word) deal."

It is a fact that now President Biden uses coarse language in the White House. The (F-word) is very popular. Get used to it!

Killed immigrant workers deserve our thanks

Eight men were working on the Francis Scott Key Bridge repairing potholes in the early morning hours at the time of its collapse. They were originally from El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Mexico.

Friends and relatives of the dead and still missing use words to describe them as kind, big hearted, "a fun, family man"'] and "a hard worker."

Please keep that in mind when politicians denounce people coming across the border taking dangerous and low- paying, but necessary, jobs that otherwise would go unfilled.

DeWine and dirty gas and oil dollars

Fracking adds toxic chemicals including PFAS to millions of gallons of fresh water which is then injected into the soil.

Gov. Mike DeWine, instead of protecting our state parks, is allowing our park soil to be poisoned and the air to be filled with methane.

More: Mike DeWine and climate Scrooges are pushing Ohio to environmental extinction

Our parks should be preserved for the people of Ohio to be able to fish, hike, camp, hunt and birdwatch—- not for DeWine and friends to gain additional political donations.

A vote for Moreno equals national abortion ban

I am concerned that we voted against a statewide abortion ban only to now have Bernie Moreno running for Senator from Ohio.

He has already stated he will vote for a national abortion ban. Remember come November a vote for him is a vote for a national abortion ban.

Rosenberger and mortal sin

This week, former Ohio House Speaker Cliff Rosenberger came to Columbus to watch the unveiling of his portrait, which will now be prominently displayed in the Statehouse.

This unveiling falls on the sixth anniversary of Rosenberger’s disgraceful resignation after being the focus of an FBI investigation regarding alleged bribery.

With his successor as speaker, Larry Householder, now serving 20 years in federal prison for bribery, it is clear as day that corruption among the General Assembly’s Republican leadership is not a new phenomenon.

Holding this portrait unveiling but choosing to not repeal House Bill 6 and punish those involved in the scandal, shows that Republican leadership in Ohio thinks corruption is not a mortal sin, merely bad publicity. As long as your name isn’t appearing in headlines, you can still be celebrated in these halls.
