Officials say the theft led to an approximately one-hour high-speed chase that concluded near Centennial Parkway and Pecos Road in northeast Las Vegas when the vehicle crashed. First responders say two people were injured in the crash, including the person who law enforcement officials say stole the Fire and Rescue vehicle.

The suspect, identified as Zachary Bodine, 28, was taken into custody, while the other was taken to an area hospital where officials described their injuries as “minor.” He is schedule to appear in court Thursday morning.

The investigation into the car theft and crash is ongoing, police said, and commuters are asked to avoid the area.
