Winners and losers
Stocks missing out on the gains today include Zumiez as the sports apparel maker gave a weaker-than-expected current quarter earnings guidance; Yext as the search tech firm disappointed investors on its first earnings report as a public company, and Restoration Hardware, with shares getting chopped as the home furnishings retailer slashed its annual profit outlook.
Stocks in the green today include Broadcom as the chipmaker gave current quarter guidance that topped estimates; Canada Goose as the outerwear maker beat on the top line in its first ever quarterly report, and Lululemon, with shares ripping higher here as the Canadian yoga-wear maker profit and revenue topped expectations, driven by sales of new products.
- At 10 a.m. ET, we’ll get factory orders for April. Economists hope to build off the prior month’s 0.2% drop.
- Also at 10 a.m. ET, ISM releases its non-manufacturing, or services, index for May. The prior month saw expansion with a 57.5 reading.
- And on Monday afternoon, Apple kicks off its Worldwide Developer Conference in San Jose, with a keynote by CEO Tim Cook. Analysts are looking for major changes coming to iOS, we’ll have a live report from WWDC on The Final Round.
