“I think that’s one of the most inspirational parts of this job is to see a community that’s willing to back others that are in need,” CEO of Feeding the Gulf Coast Michael Ledger said. “We are a conduit of that.”

Business owners dropped off what was donated at their respective businesses, and they felt great about supporting a grand cause. This specific cause helps children and those facing food insecurity prepare a meal.

“We had a lot of customers come in and, you know, they were very involved in the program and they kind of knew exactly what was going on,” Palmer’s Toyota and Palmer’s Hyundai Owner Jacob Palmer said. “And they were excited that we were a part of the program again for a third year, so it was really cool to see the community come together and fill up these barrels.”

“It’s good to be involved for the kids,” Candace Wilson from Roto Rooter said. “Anything that involves like helping or supporting the kids is always something that Roto Rooter wants to be involved in. I mean, it’s a great thing to do.”

“My gosh, the donations just came in plentiful,” Michelle Jean with Baldwin EMC said. “We are so thankful to our members in the community who really answer the call. They do every single time.”

“We’ve had cereal bars, granola bars, beanie weenies, the pull top brand,” Michael Holland with Bryant Bank said. “So yeah, whatever we can collect to help out with Feeding the Gulf Coast, it’s always great.”
