Steven Adams and Andre Roberson officially want it that way

You know how, during the late 1990s, everybody felt like the one thing the Backstreet Boys were really missing was a 7-foot mustachioed New Zealander who wasn’t, like, great at singing? Well, just in time for BSB’s upcoming Las Vegas residency, I present to Nick, A.J. and the gang young Steven Adams, Oklahoma City Thunder center and, evidently, “I Want It That Way” enthusiast:

Thunder teammate Andre Roberson accompanied Adams on his trip to New Zealand to host youth basketball camps, and offered some accompaniment on the tune, too. But this is clearly the big Kiwi’s tune — I mean, he’s got the AUX cord and everything — and I have to imagine that Roberson, who’s come into his own over the last two seasons as a valuable role player in Oklahoma City, realized quickly that his job would be to chime in occasionally rather than trying to slide into Steven’s spotlight.

It remains to be seen whether fellow Thunderer Nick Collison, who also made the trip to New Zealand and who was just about to begin his college career at Kansas when “I Want It That Way” dropped in April of 1999, will join his young teammates to produce some more highly shareable BSB-related social content in the near future. It’d be pretty big if he did; it’s been too long since the last three-man singing sensation to hit Oklahoma City made fans the world over say ahhhh.
