Sterling K Brown lands next movie role in Adam Scott thriller

This Is Us star Sterling K Brown has landed a role in Adam Scott's new thriller movie Double Booked.

According to Deadline, Brown will star alongside Zazie Beetz (Joker), and Alexandra Daddario (The White Lotus) and Scott in the thriller movie, which finds two separate families stuck in the same cabin.

Scott stars as a successful self-help writer who organises a romantic weekend away at a scheduled lodge with his heavily pregnant wife (Beetz).

However, their weekend doesn't go to plan when they discover another couple (Daddario and Brown) already settled in at the lodge.

When a blizzard causes the four to become stranded, they are forced to spend the night together, with the "innocent system error" that brought the two couples together soon becoming a "chilling battle of deceit with deadly consequences."

As well as starring in the film, Scott will also serve as director and producer, with David Levinson writing the script and Juror #2's Adam Goodman and Matt Skiena producing alongside Naomi Scott.

"I couldn’t be more excited to be working with Protagonist and Dichotomy to bring this audacious, crowd-pleasing, white-knuckle thriller to the screen," Scott said of the project in a statement.

"I’d been looking for something to direct for years, and Double Booked checked all the boxes. Along with our unbelievable cast, I can’t wait to make it and share it with the world."

Scott is best known for his role as Ben Wyatt in comedy series Parks and Recreation, more recently starring in Apple TV+ show Severance, which is currently filming for its second season.

Brown recently starred in American Fiction, a role that earned him an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor. Beetz is known for her work in Atlanta and Deadpool 2, and she will next be seen alongside Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga in Joker: Folie à Deux.

Daddario has appeared in TV shows such as American Horror Story: Hotel and The White Lotus, and she will next be seen in season two of AMC's Mayfair Witches.
