Sports commentator and “First Take” host Stephen A. Smith on Monday said former First Lady Michelle Obama would beat Donald Trump “hands down” if she ran for president this year.

Joining basketball Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett on his “KG Certified” show, Smith said Obama would defeat the presumptive Republican presidential nominee this year if she had an interest.

“That obviously's not gonna happen. She doesn't seem to have an interest,” Smith said.

Smith also theorized that Hillary Clinton, the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee, would have beaten Trump and become the first woman president of the United States — if not for former FBI Director James Comey announcing a few weeks before the election that he was reopening the investigation into her emails.

“If the FBI director at the time, James Comey, hadn't come in at the last minute with some shit about Hillary and emails, and Hillary, I believe, had campaigned in Wisconsin and Philadelphia in the waning days before the election, I think you would have had a female president in 2016,” Smith said.
