Stephen Colbert rips Trump as 'the only person who can bring down a funeral'

Much has been made of the body language of President Trump, his predecessors and their wives at Wednesday's state funeral for George H.W. Bush at Washington's National Cathedral.
"Late Show" host Stephen Colbert also had an observation or two about the latest meeting of the ex-presidents' club, which last convened at the September funeral of Sen. John McCain. At that service, George W. Bush made headlines for passing a cough drop to his "partner-in-crime," Michelle Obama. (Trump had been asked to stay away on that occasion, though his daughter and son-in-law attended.)
"It was quite a moving sight to see the presidents and first ladies in the front row waiting to honor President Bush, chatting comfortably with one another – until Trump showed up and then it became silent staring time," he cracked. "Donald Trump is the only person in the world who can bring down a funeral."
Trump greeted the Obamas, whom he had not seen in person since his January 2017 inauguration; however, Hillary Clinton, his rival from the 2016 election, did not even make eye contact, let alone shake hands with him, nor did her husband. Jimmy Carter, started at his watch.
Colbert also highlighted footage of the presidents' row reciting the Apostle's Creed – with the exception of 45, who spent much of the service with his arms folded across his chest.
Switching to his Trump impersonation, he pretended to snap to attention, saying, "I'm sorry, I zoned out there for a minute. I was thinking about all the evangelicals who voted for me. OK, what are we doing now? The Macarena? I'm in!"
