Stephanie Moon Reynolds announces campaign for Mayor of Roanoke

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR)– Councilwoman Stephanie Moon Reynolds has announced she will be running for Mayor of Roanoke in 2024.

Moon, a lifelong Roanoke native and graduate of Roanoke City Public, her career has spanned over four and a half decades in municipal government.

Before starting her role as a non-party affiliate member of the City Council in 2021, she was Roanoke’s City Clerk for 13 years. Moon’s efforts to promote workforce development and education programs have helped create economic growth in the community. She has also worked to ensure the community’s safety and Roanke as a vibrant place to work, live, and raise a family.

By declaring her campaign, she joins Vice-Mayor Joe Cobb so far in this year’s mayoral race.
