A steady stream of showers lingering in the forecast, adding inches to our gauges

Columbus, Ga (WRBL)- This afternoon we continue to see a few sporadic light showers that will continue throughout the rest of the evening. Temperatures warmed into the upper 50s and 60s, with the warmest readings across our southern counties.

As a few showers continues, morning fog will be likely in some areas tomorrow morning. We will continue to see showers through the day tomorrow before the heavier rain move in late tomorrow night.

For the rest of the week we will be watching three round of storms that each have the potential to bring heavy rain and even localized flooding. ROUND 1: All Day Thursday, ROUND 2: Friday Evening, ROUND 3: Saturday Afternoon. While each of these will bring heavy rain, the best chance for flooding remains Thursday as storms will last throughout the day.

Once these storms clear Saturday, we will see clouds begin to clear by Monday morning and winds will be breezy to start next week. Temperatures will also trend closer to average, dropping back into the mid-50 by Monday afternoon.
